In his live shows, MC Hammersmith performs improvised hip hop comedy. He is a freestyle rapper - meaning he raps spontaneously, unscripted, with absolutely no preparation. The lyrics and rhymes of his raps are 100% improvised and based entirely on crowd suggestions. He takes stories and suggestions from audience members, then raps about them at lightning speed. Mind-blowing, hilarious, and completely different every single time. MC Hammersmith (real name Will Naameh) grew up attending an all-male, middle-class private school in the suburb of Hammersmith, west London. After escaping this, he took up improv classes while studying for a degree in Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh. Combining his love for linguistics, improvisation, and hip hop, he first started performing solo freestyle rap comedy in 2016. Since then, he has sold out nationwide solo comedy tours, won multiple comedy awards for his freestyle rap performances, gained over half a billion views for his online videos, and supported Jason Manford on his arena tour of the UK.
