What this is
COMEDY ATLAS is a free, worldwide directory of English-language stand-up comedy: shows, comics, venues, and the promoters and bookers who run rooms. Start from a city and see what's on; start from a comic or a venue and see everything connected to it. Every ticket link on the site goes to the organizer's own official ticket page — COMEDY ATLAS does not process or resell tickets. One ticket platform we link to, Skiddle, has a signed affiliate programme; those outbound clicks are tagged and logged, and the link is disclosed as an affiliate link at the moment you click it. No commission has been confirmed by the partner yet, so none is being reported as earned today.
How we keep it honest
- Verified venues. A venue is never published from a single, unconfirmed source — it needs corroboration from at least two independent sources (a festival programme, a second ticketing platform, an official venue site, or an OpenStreetMap match) before it appears on the map.
- Stand-up only. Every listing passes a genre gate before publication — quizzes, karaoke, and other non-stand-up events at comedy venues are filtered out, not mixed in with real shows.
- We never publish contact info. A comic's or organizer's email or phone number is never shown to another user — full stop. Every ticket link goes straight to the organizer's own official page, never a scraped contact.
- Every fact is sourced. Each listing traces back to a specific source — an official venue site, a ticketing platform, a festival programme. No AI model writes a fact into a listing; a local model may only draft a low-stakes suggestion for a human to approve or reject.
Where the data comes from
Listings are aggregated from official venue websites, festival programmes (Edinburgh Fringe, PBH's Free Fringe, Laughing Horse, and others), and public ticketing platforms (Eventbrite and similar). Venue locations are cross-checked against OpenStreetMap. Nothing here is guessed or invented.

If you run a room, book a show, or perform stand-up, your page on COMEDY ATLAS costs nothing. Comics and venues can claim an existing listing or ask for a new one — add a bio, links, and upcoming shows once it's verified.
Managers & agents: if you represent a comic, you can claim and keep their page current on their behalf. Ticket partners: every ticket link already points to the official seller — we never resell or mark up. COMEDY ATLAS is independent and built for comics who are starting out. Listings and discovery remain free for comics and bookers. We do not add a ticket markup or process ticket payments, and no ticket-referral affiliate programme exists yet — no commission is being earned today.
