Jules O’Brian

Jules O’Brian.

Comic

Now in her fifties, Jules O’Brian has become a magnet for advice she never asked for. What to wear. How to behave. How to age “gracefully”. And which inspirational quotes she should apparently be living by. She’s not having it. A former English teacher turned stand-up, Jules takes aim at the clichés, unsolicited opinions and well-meaning nonsense that seem to multiply the older you get. From strangers offering life advice to the constant pressure to shrink, behave and be grateful for it. Warm, sharp and very funny, this is a show about getting older, getting wiser, and deciding which bits of advice can get in the bin.
